The Challenge
A game-based English academy needed more than a website. Students had to find a course, book it and join their class in one place, and teachers needed to run that class themselves (breakout rooms, screen share, recording, extra time) without sending anyone to a third-party meeting app.
Behind it, the academy's admins, secretaries and quality controllers each needed their own access to courses, groups, meetings, recordings and exams, in Arabic and English.
Our Approach
- Discovery — How the academy runs its courses, groups and live sessions, and what each of its five roles needs.
- UX & UI design — User flows and screens for students, teachers, secretaries, quality controllers and admins, in a playful look.
- Development — The public site, course booking, student dashboard and admin panel, built from the designs.
- Live classroom — Video classes inside the platform: waiting room, breakout rooms, screen share, recording and extra time.
- Arabic and English — Every page in both languages, with a true right-to-left layout.
- Testing and launch — Checked across roles, languages and screen sizes, then launched.
Core Features
- Live classes in the platform — No third-party meeting app: the class runs on the site itself.
- Breakout rooms — Split the class into groups and bring it back, mid-session.
- Recording and screen share — Sessions recorded from the platform itself.
- Extend a session — The teacher adds time while the class is live.
- Waiting room — The teacher admits each student into class.
- Catalogue and instant search — Results appear as you type, with no page reload.
- Five roles, one panel — Courses, groups, meetings, recordings and exams, with separate roles for admins, secretaries and quality control.
- Fully bilingual — Arabic and English with a true right-to-left layout.
The Results
- 5 User roles with their own permissions
- 2 Languages, true right to left
- 0 Third-party meeting apps
